Just when you thought industrial was dying a cold, lonely death you find something like I, Parasite's On This Cold Floor . Released in 2003, I can't believe i just found this album last year in 2008. It's a great industrial album. The title track "Cold Floor" became one of my favorite industrial tracks the first time i heard it. Grab this album, put it on, and turn it up VERY loud. If you have a taste for electronic or industrial music I think you'll enjoy it.
WHAT AN AMAZING ALBUM!!! I f if weren't fro Th fact that I was lookin for Haloblack"tension filter" album art to paste to my media player, I;d never have found this incredible band! THANK YOU for opening a new world of excellence in the world on Industrial. I bought their other CDs right away after listing to "Floor". You are my HERO!
ReplyDeleteWow thanks, and I totally agree, amazing album... I guess I need to get back to work on this blog, I haven't done any work on it it ages 'cause I didn't think anyone was interested... I guess it just needed some time to get around!
ReplyDeleteWow sorry for all the typos in the first post..Yeah I speak real good... Anyway yes, please continue to post stuff because My one mp3 player is filled almost completely with stuff I found on here. Now let me return the favor: If you get a chance (If you haven't already) check out 16Volt and Sister Machine Gun) 16Volt is labeled 'coldwave' but I just call them "what I WISH Nine Inch Nails STILL sounded like!" Go to their web page and you can download their entire discography for free (!!!), with the option of making a donation of any amount. I would say they are currently my favorite band! As for Sister Machine Gun: Imagine Industrial beats with Distorted guitar riffs, piano and jazz organs and saxaphone solos with an incredible singer! Sounds fucked up right? Just give it a chance, your ears will thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I love sister machine gun, have been a big fan for a while now. 16volt too. Good call. I will post more when I get the chance. As for out of print stuff check soulseek.

Haha I should have known you'd be in the know about those 2 bands. If you know of anything else in the same vein as those--fill me in. I already have Hellbent's 2 albums: I like Regurgitator more than Hardcore vanilla. I just got Nailbomb "Point Blank" which is Max Cavalera from Sepultura and Alex Newport from Fudge tunnel's Crack at "Industrial Metal". So far I dig it--it's way heavy and had some guest musicians on it as well. You can tell Ministry had an influence on them when they made this--and Al J. is quoted as saying his favorite band is Sepultura... so it's kinda a full circle thing.
